I've gotta find those ancient scrolls so that I can regain control revitalize my principles and finally climb out of this hole cause fools may look for pyrite and the brave may look for a fight but I, I'll keep pointing my flashlight will I ever find what I need? and we will not let our story go untold cause we'll sing it as it unfolds and we'll remember what we were told that we are alive and invincible I want my life to be lined with gold mined from knowledge old and maybe my mind will be whole once I've read those ancient scrolls

ink on paper 04:05
she's ink on paper as real as you want her to be what you feel what you feel what you feel and what you see stock character number twenty three she's aware she's aware she's aware of the irony no one can tell her what she's worth cause it changes every day it depends it depends it depends it depends on what you say she has found herself where others lose their way in the blank spaces on the page you could call her a freelancer sometimes a time traveler there's nowhere oh nowhere she has to stay no one can tell her what she's worth cause it changes every day it depends it depends it depends it depends on what you say smoking a cigarette bridging passion and regret not ready surely not ready to move on yet and in the thick white haze she pictures a feeling of her very own something lovingly home grown no one can tell her what she's worth cause it changes every day it depends it depends it depends it depends on what you say she's having a closer look scanning the shelf for a book that will tell that will surely tell her something new and the audience is hoping there's some kind of passage to walk through that was hidden from her view

oh the joys of being stable eating at kitchen tables movie reels distant fables four trap doors beneath my feet more floors of this past week torn boards, no underneath there's things i don't wanna see there's things i don't wanna see but closing my eyes isn't helping me closing my eyes isn't helping me the streets they rub their eyes and yawn kick leaves up on the lawn where have my neighbours gone? all i see's the faint blue gleam ghostly glow of their screen vacationing without leaving there's things i don't wanna see there's things i don't wanna see but closing my eyes isn't helping me closing my eyes isn't helping me

flamingo 03:02
sometimes the glorious morning light fails to entice me to be upright so as an example of standing tall i pinned a flamingo upon my wall i don't think i need to see a shrink i will pin down just what keeps me pink but i'll fade to grey if i stay in bed please tell my body to tell my head faudra déjà que je fasse mon lit l’horloge dit minuit ou midi je bois mon café, je me prépare et puis je me regarde dans le miroir oui je m’appele Meaghan mais Meg c’est ce qu’on dit parce que je n'aurai jamais fini oui je m’arrange, je me deconstruit et je sais je n'aurai jamais fini

when we walk through the stars our energies collide and the planets arise and the universe opens its eyes and that’s when we realize that we’re not alone for we have each other and you are my home

messy child 02:43
you think that masks are for people who have something to hide but the truth is that everybody has an ugly side you call yourself blunt say you're being upfront call your friends your confidants when they're just your dump you speak your mind uncut unrefined it comes off abrasive and undignified well I guess I have to spell it out for you cause you can't guess you're an M-E-S-S don't try to guess the ingredients in someone's omelette and don't let your personal thunderstorm get anyone else wet it is your duty to spread happiness cause you never know who could use some of this I hate to tell you but you're on the list hopefully by proxy you become less of an M-E-S-S a messy child I hope you learned your lesson baby hope it sticks a while you are a M-E-S-S such a messy child oh, you'll be my death and you'll always be my guide

monkey mind 03:22
oh, it's the morning, child it can always be your morning, child so don't wait so don't wait things are always gonna be this wild things are always gonna be this wild stay with me monkey mind in one place for just one night not enough weight upon my pillow, child cause when I sleep you're never by my side I know you snuck out with tomorrow by the way the bedsheet sighed always in yesterday's shadow between my ears behind my eyes why do you talk to me like a carpenter talks to a nail as if I am your worst enemy don't you know what happens if I fail? I wanna build something together and I'd like to start today I can't wait till you get better can't have you standing in my way oh, it's the morning, child it can always be your morning, child so don't wait so don't wait things are always gonna be this wild things are always gonna be this wild oh, it's the morning, child and you will not get another warning, child so don't wait so don't wait things are always gonna be this wild things are always gonna be this wild

you are here 05:09
a kingdom under seige a tightness in my throat cool waves upon my feet sweet chill inside my bones time's salty on my cheeks I live in a drafty home and out the hours leak billowing like smoke if I could see them go, if I could see them leave would I really even know? if I could stare at air if I could really see would my breathing start to slow? stop holding your breath as if we're just around the bend stop acting as if somebody's gonna win in the end can't wait to garden in the spring to unearth everything forget the feeling of my own heart beating banished all the prophets ran them out of town a thousand pounds of knowledge burnt all of it down a hundred years of physics won't bring it back around because wisdom stopped existing when our feet left the ground and if we had seen it go if we had seen it leave would we really even care? yeah if we could stare at air if we could really breathe would we breathe the air out there? stop holding your breath as if we're just around the bend stop acting as if somebody's gonna win in the end can't wait to garden in the spring to unearth everything forget the feeling of my own heart beating

to hurry doesn't mean just running fast it could be an incomplete judgement of the past or maybe a premature removal of a cast or years slipping by never making any moment last we should be more scared of losing what we have to worry is natural, preinstalled it can be healthy or detrimental but we have more than we ever bargained for and I'd trade it all if I thought that things could be resolved the possibility of hitting a wall my poor baby came to me with a look I can't recieve my poor baby came to me with a pain I can't relieve and it burns, oh it burns cause I can't earn, I can't earn your trust at all I'm hitting a wall I'm hitting a wall I'm hitting a wall I'm hitting a wall

jungle love 03:02
a city's not a jungle it's demeaning just to say just cause our heads are bungled it isn't nature's way we're wild with restrictions we laugh derisively were free to our addictions just act decisively and they call it jungle love and they call it jungle love life more than we could ever bare death from a thing that doesnt care cures to the fears we hold dear all that we feel comes from here and they call it jungle love and they call it jungle you think that you're accustomed to all the social snares but what's a social custom and why should I care? who's drawing lines in gravel? and what's a citizen? and why'd ya need a gavel? cause if it hurts then it's a sin and they call it jungle love and they call it jungle love here we belong you and I gods of the dirt touch the sky it is assumed there'll be pain heat rushes through all our veins and they call it jungle love and they call it jungle no more ego games now I'm sorry for that one just look how far we've came now when will it be done?

oh no 03:24
oh no aw crap my favourite aircraft just crashed i said oh no aw crap my favourite air craft just crashed i really thought it would last up until this evening past but much too bold and brash the pilot got a little too smashed he was my favourite lots of things earth angel with the unkept wings oh the joy he brings empowered with unfiltered praise blinded by sunshine rays for his aerial escapades but i'm not watching from the ground i've noticed some strange angles and some skirting around there's lights flashing on your dashboard so heed their warning baby and correct your flightpath nowwww oh no aw crap my favourite aircraft just crashed i said oh no aw crap my favourite air craft just crashed i really thought it would last up until this evening past but much too bold and brash the pilot got a little too smashed how can i enjoy your presence when i see that you're breaking now and then ya youve made it personal baby it is not my duty to save thee but i cant help but feel a bit guilty to be privy to your complication you know that i'm not the kind to ever be comfortable silent complacent oh no aw crap my favourite aircraft just crashed i said oh no aw crap my favourite air craft just crashed i really thought it would last up until this evening past but much too bold and brash the pilot got a little too smashed your chemtrails paint the skies blue, but the atmosphere's crystal clear when it is just us two oh i really loved flying with you but now its seen as taboo thanks to who? we all need air traffic control sometimes when decisions get so heavy that they break our minds oh please call into the tower soon cause i'm looking at the radar, got eyes upon impending doom oh no aw crap my favourite aircraft just crashed i said oh no aw crap my favourite air craft just crashed i really thought it would last up until this evening past but much too bold and brash the pilot got a little too smashed

crocodile 06:27
I still write letters to my baby he was swallowed whole a year ago I still write letters to my baby but he seems to prefer his new home what's a girl like me to do? how can I compete with the scales and the long tail and twice as many feet? I guess I'm not the kind of fun that he pictured he could have no, my blood's not cold enough I did not stand a chance he's been gone a while inside a crocodile, oh no ditched his name, doesn't pay his taxes I search night and day while he relaxes he ran away, wanted to feel free free from his responsibility people say it's just a phase that he'll come back to me if I mean something to him I guess that we shall see people say it all the time this is the way it's meant to be have I commited some crime? is he avoiding me? hope he's having fun inside that reptilian I still write letters to my baby tell me could I have done more? I still write letters to my baby but they get pushed back under my door I guess he needs a different kind of girl one with a dinosaur brain who could not care less about him so he can do the same I guess he's made his scaly bed I guess he's having a good time while I lie awake in dread all these questions on my mind did he find that missing piece inside the belly of a beast? oh, ouch I still write, I still write, letters to my baby I still fight, I still fight, I fight for my baby

about

You Are Here explores the destructiveness of civilization, the restless monkey mind, our connection to infinite love and energy of the universe, how others' perception shapes our reality, and of course, lousy men. It's a collection of emotionally and rhythmically-charged songs that make the best of two years’ worth of overthinking.
